Guy works for various consultants and contractors in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Singapore, on projects across the globe.
During this time, Guy works on infrastructure and building projects, involved in the design and construction of permanent structures and temporary works. He also becomes a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Structural Engineers, UK
Guy establishes Russell & Ruffino in Spain and continues to work on worldwide projects, including:
- Queensferry Crossing, UK
- Hong Kong - Zhuhai - Macau Link
- Riyadh Metro, Saudi Arabia
- New Orbital Highway, Doha, Qatar
Russell & Ruffino provides further engineering support to the Queensferry Crossing Cable-stayed Bridge project by establishing an on-site presence. Guy continues with his senior role on the project, plus contribution to further projects, including:
- Tunis Metro, Tunisia
- Abu Dhabi - Dubai Road, UAE
- Ironton Russell Bridge, USA
- Sydney North West Rail Link, Australia
In addition to continuing support to the Queensferry Crossing project, Russell & Ruffino provides on-site support to the Windsor Road cable-stayed crossing on the Sydney NWRL project, Australia.

- Tuen Mun - Chep Lap Kok Link, Hong Kong

As the construction activities come to a climax on the Queensferry Crossing, on-going support is provided to the CTD and NWRL projects.
A design and drafting office is established in southern Spain to serve the global market. Projects in Australia, Hong Kong, Central America and China are among those supported.
A key partnership is established with consultant Klabella Solutions, based in Hong Kong.
Through the partnership with Klabella Solutions, Russell & Ruffino provides design and construction engineering support to a contractor during the tender phase of a major sea crossing in Hong Kong.
